Thanks to everyone who offered their expert laptop advice on my last post.  Seriously, I appreciate it SOOOO much!  It’s so great to have such wonderful people to rely on for support, advice, and opinions.

I made an agreement in my mind that if I could get my itunes switched to my new laptop by today, I would keep it.  Low and behold, at 2:35 am this morning, my itunes were up and running on my new Sony Vaio.  I guess that means I’ll be keeping it for now!

I got everything loaded on from my old computer over the course of the day, and right now I’m blogging from the new laptop.

So far, so good.  But I’m definitely going to keep in mind everyone’s advice in case I need to still return this one.  I think the basic conclusion is that Mac Books are the way to go.  I actually tried one out at an apple store before buying this Sony, but I just wasn’t used to its system.  However, I think that’s what I’d have to do if need be.  But keep your fingers crossed that I won’t even have to WORRY about that! :)

Needless to say, last night was another late one.  Sometime during the evening, I snacked on a Kashi TLC Roasted Almond Crunch bar, a Stonyfield Probiotic Yogurt, and an organic apple.

VERY exciting breakfast news… last time I was shopping, I found a NEW flavor of Kashi Heart to Heart – Warm Cinnamon!  Of course, I was estatic and couldn’t wait to try it out.

I made myself a bowl of the new cereal, topped it with 1 tbsp organic pumpkin seeds, and poured on some light soymilk.  I also had a delicious organic peach.

Well, folks… this cereal is DELICIOUS!!!  I must say, I was a little bit worried that it might taste too sugary or cinnamony, but it definitely got the right balance of flavors.  Although I think I might like the original Honey Toasted flavor better, this one will without a doubt be purchased again!

I spent most of my morning working on my laptop before going for a 2.5 mile walk/run.  It turned into such a lovely Fourth of July day with sunshine and perfect temperatures.

To celebrate the beautiful summer weather, I made a wonderful fruit salad for lunch.  In the bowl:

  • organic cubed mango
  • cubed honeydew melon
  • organic strawberries

With a side of raw almonds, a strawberry-banana activia light, and a glass of organic skim milk.

Yes, mixing did take place. ;)

After lunch, I lay out in the sun for a while, reading a magazine and knitting while getting a healthy dosage of Vitamin D.  I got restless after a while, so I went for a 2.5 mile bike ride.

Mid-afternoon, I put together a yummy (and healthy) snack.  I had a Babybel light cheese, Kashi Mediterranean Brusetta Party Crackers, snow peas, organic carrot sticks, sliced organic zucchini, and an iced green tea.

I tried out a new Amy’s meal this evening for dinner… Light in Sodium Black Bean Vegetable Enchilada.  I had an 8 oz container of Pacific Natural Foods Vanilla Almond Milk on the side.

I was slightly weary of these Enchiladas when they came out of the microwave.  I guess I thought I was going to be able to eat them with my hands, but I actually had to use my fork.  However, the taste was AMAZING!  The sauce was a bit spicy, but the enchiladas themselves didn’t have too much spice, so they ended up balancing each other out.  The filling was PERFECT!  I’d definitely recommend these.

This evening, I finished up loading everything onto my new computer, and now I’m thinking about fitting some yoga in before calling in a night.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Fourth of July!
