Happy April 1st everyone!  I’m not much of a prankster, but the day is a fun one in general, so I’ll take it! 🙂

Right after I posted yesterday morning, I had a texting conversation with my mom that went something like…

Mom:  Your credit card says you charged $211.43 to a “Foreign Dating Escort Service.”  Is this right?

Me:  Yes, Mom, I am getting very desperate these days.

Mom:  That’s a joke, right?

Me:  Please call the bank mom… I am not that desperate, yet.

Hahahhaaaa!!!  I love how seriously my mom takes me. 😉

Yes, my credit card number was somehow stolen.  I honestly find it hilarious given the whole “Foreign Dating Escort Service” that was charged on my card, but it makes things extremely inconvenient when I have to wait 2 weeks to get a new card from my bank.  Although I will admit that paying with cash really gives you a visual of where you’re spending your hard-earned money.  It’s all just a learning/growing process!

Have you ever had your credit card number or credit card itself stolen?

Moving on to today’s news…

This morning started out as a cool, quiet, calm Spring day in downtown Madison (7am).

And quickly turned into a snowy, blustery, wet, busy Winter day (12pm).

Mother Nature’s idea of an April Fool’s prank?  I’m not amused.

Eh, hopefully it will all melt ASAP!

My morning started out with a bowl of Trader Joe’s Lowfat Granola Cereal with Almond topped with unsweetened almond milk, and an organic banana on the side.

STARBUCKS! 🙂

I had my Design Fundamentals Studio this morning for 2 hours where we did even more playing around with paints, color harmonies, and motifs.  It’s actually pretty fun, but gets a little stressful when you’re under such time constraints to finish the project by the end of class!

Lunchtime – Food for Life Gluten-free Tortilla topped with Cheddar Flavor Veggie Slices, organic spinach, and organic greens; organic sliced cucumbers; activia light; and a glass of unsweetened almond milk.

The snow is still coming down hard, so I’m going to do some schoolwork and then throw in a 10 Minutes Solutions Pilates DVD (I usually do all five 10-minute segments) to get in some afternoon exercise.  TGIF!!! 😀

  1. Gosh, A dating service thats a good one! I’ve never had my credit card number stolen but my husband has. The CC company actually flagged his account when a transaction went through in Mexico!

  2. I guess the one redeeming factor of snow this time of year is that it really does melt fast … but still!

Haha, that’s so funny about the foreign dating escort service! You might as well admit you were finally found out 😉

  3. I’ve had my wallet stolen! Thank God they didn’t use my credit card!

  4. wow! I would be so mad if my credit card got stolen! You are a sport and I’m glad you caught it when you did. Good luck with your school work and I hope it warms up asap for ya! xoxo

  5. yeah, it was snowing last night here. and i was not amused.

i’ve never had my card stolen but i thought i had my number stolen once to my debit card. i got so paranoid that i closed the account and opened a new one!

  6. I enjoy the gluten-free multiseed english muffins by Food for Life. It’s so nice to be able to eat a tasty one and not have to worry about the gluten issues (I have Celiac Disease). I’m going to have to ask if the store can start carrying the GF tortillas as well.

    • I eat those English Muffins as well! They are delicious! And I really do love these tortillas, so definitely see if you can get them in at your grocery store. I’ve seen them at my local grocery store and Whole Foods if that helps.

  7. hahaha! It’s not funny your card got stolen by any means, but that charge is. My mom called me the other day because the area where the purchases took place seemed odd to her (AL one hour, NC the next..) but that was when I actually went to NC, so it wasn’t a big deal. I could imagine the conversation if she saw that kind of charge, though! 😉

  8. Oh, no! How terrible that your card was stolen. 😦 What a funny thing to charge to it, though… I hope your new card arrives ASAP!

I absolutely LOVE Madison! I live in Minneapolis & had quite a few friends go to college in Madison, and I have always had such a blast when I visited. Great, wonderful town! I need to visit again soon. 😀

  9. So sorry, Heather! Scott has had this happen w/ his credit cards. For a much larger sum. He didn’t catch it until after 30 days elapsed, it was his Visa-linked debit card, and b/c of that…the bank did not stand behind him and he/we were just out the money. Grrr.

    • Wow, that’s terrible Averie! So sorry that had to happen to YOU. Luckily my mom caught this only 2 days after it happened and the bank realized we obviously didn’t pay for an Escort Service. It’s amazing what some not-so-nice people can get away with though. 😦

  10. ACK! im sorry about your card!!! crazy weather too!

  11. […] Comment Tags: almond milk, sushi, Whole Foods First off, thanks to everyone for you sympathy on my credit card number getting stolen.  Luckily, everything worked out with the bank and my new card should arrive in 2 weeks.  […]

  12. Kinda obvious name on your statement 😉
