My Life
I am a 19-year-old college student at the University of Wisconsin Madison pursuing a double major in Dietetics and Communication Arts, and also a Power Vinyasa Yoga teacher.  I love yoga, biking, going for walks, playing tennis, pilates, nutrition, reading, writing, style, fashion, shopping, laying out in the sun, hanging out with friends, and simply being healthy.  I am lucky to have two parents at home who are still happily married, as well as two older brothers whom I absolutely adore.

In March of 2010, I became a 200-hour Certified Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) in Power Vinyasa Yoga as well as a Certified Yoga Teacher Assistant.  Yoga is a true passion of mine, and I feel so blessed to have discovered this path in life.  I started doing Yoga at the age of 14, but didn’t truly feel its immense empowerment until I opened myself up to both its physical and mental aspects at the age of 16.  Since that time, I have incorporated all aspects of Yoga into my life and have found that I have never been happier, healthier, or more at peace with my mind, body, and spirit.

For the most part, I eat  by the “5 small meals a day” rule and find that this is the best method for my body and hunger cues.  I would estimate that my food intake is 99% organic.  I love fruits, veggies, nuts, lowfat dairy, whole grains, etc., and I am NOT a fan of chocolate or sweets (I know, crazy right?).  I eat a vegetarian-based diet besides my dairy intake.  I am lucky enough to live in a city that has wonderful organic and fresh options like Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Madison Fresh Market, and Madison’s reknowned Farmers Market.

Being a active yogini myself, I incorporate at least one yoga class into my everyday schedule, whether in the studio, or a podcast.  I also go for walks daily, either outside on the paths around Madison if Wisconsin weather permits, or on the treadmill at my local Anytime Fitness.  Occasionally, I will go for the random bike ride, do a pilates video, or some other exercise to switch things up.  I live a very active lifestyle, and I always like to keep moving!

My life has become truly satisfied and I couldn’t be happier!
