Unplanned

This morning was completely uncharacteristic of me.
It started out normal – I got out of bed at 5:45am and went right to the kitchen to have breakfast…
Kashi 7 Whole Grain Puffs topped with organic raw pumpkin seeds, unsweetened almond milk, and cinnamon, and an organic banana on the side.
Pre-cinnamon:
Post-cinnamon:
Yes, I like to pile on my cinnamon. 😉
After breakfast, I started thinking about getting my day started, but then I realized how tired I was, and all I wanted to do was crawl back in bed. Being a Saturday, a figured what the heck? and crawled back in here until 9am.
When I finally got out of bed for the day, I was wide awake and ready to get started on this…
…and this.
It’s always good to have a few extra hours of sleep! 🙂
It’s a decent Spring day in Madison, so after lunch I was ready to get outside and go for a 4-mile walk. On my way back from my walk, I stopped in the grocery store and bought a few staples.
- Nature’s Path Optimum Blueberry Cinnamon
- Food for Life Brown Rice Tortillas
- Smartwater
- Oven Roasted Tofurky
- Veggie Slices
- Chobani 0% Greek yogurt
- Fage 0% Greek yogurt
- Organic bananas
- Organic pears
- Organic carrots
- Organic Raw Gingerade Kombucha
Later this afternoon, I worked on a group project for my Environmental Science class. We had to site an imaginary landfill in Door County, following a specific criteria set by the State to pick out the ideal location, write a cover letter, and fill out a form for submitting our proposal. In class, we have to do a presentation on our landfill site and why we chose it. Of my 3 other group members, only one guy showed up, so we ended up doing the entire thing by ourselves. This really doesn’t bother me since I know that if I’m the one who does it, I’ll make sure I do a good job, but I still think it’s pretty rude for the other guys to just not show up. Either way, we finished within an hour and it feels good to have it done! 🙂
Do you run into the group project problem of group members not showing or just not contributing?
Tonight’s agenda is just some studying and yoga… weekends are the best!

Yayyy at least you got it done within ONE HR! not bad~ I usually end up in pretty good groups so far, but that would be a tough situation you’re in.

Heather, I want your groceries! And I love how much cinnamon you out on your cereal 🙂
I hear you about group projects. I HATE them because people never show up or pull their weight and I usually have to do everything, Ugh.
Have a wonderful day!

I thought I was the only heavy handed cinnamon blogger 😉 Guess not!! Love the breakki. And I go through the group project scenario all the time! I always end up doing the bulk of the work 😦

Yumm! Those Bunny Luv carrots are my favs 🙂 Ugghh I’ve been in your shoes many times–I absolutley hate it when people never help with their end of the project, so frustrating!
Happy weekend to you!

I’ve yet to be in a group where all members participate and I always end up taking control- somebody has to otherwise nothing will get done. Fortunately we have peer evalutations so the people who slack don’t actually get the same grade as the entire group.

I definitly can relate to the group memebers! I am doing my business degree and it is a “cooperative” program so every single one of my courses has group work– it sucks!!!!!

Love cinnamon! So many of my cereal bowls end up super gritty because of the amount of it I’ll add. I blame my addiction on my mom. She made me cinnamon toast every single morning before school… surprisingly, it never got old haha and now I want some!

Love all of that cinnamon! Yeah, I’m not a fan of group projects. The worse one I’ve done is a 15 page group essay that we had to write through emails and a message board. That was a toughie. Glad you got some extra sleep!
